実はわが家のことなんですが，本日好天ながら暑すぎず，日焼け止めを塗って，懸案の生け垣の刈り込みをしました．<\/p>\n
作業の途中で，ときどきオレンジ色のスズメバチが2〜3匹飛び交ってきます．３度目かにようやくスズメバチの巣があるのだろうと思い当たりました．一時期スズメバチの専門家に教えを請うた身としては迂闊でした．<\/p>\n
巣の近くの枝葉を刈ると，威嚇のために2〜3匹が出てきます．<\/p>\n

真ん中の焦げ茶色の丸いのが巣です．刈り込んだ表面から20cm奥にあります．大きさは今のところソフトボールくらいです．<\/p>\n
こんな近くまで刈り込んでも威嚇だけというのは，それほど気性の激しいスズメバチではなく，幸運でした．一番気性の荒いオオスズメバチだと，数mに近づいただけで攻撃してくるようです．<\/p>\n
