せっかくの３連休，午前中は畑仕事をして，午後は昼寝をして，夜はSlackwareのupgradeの下準備を始めたところです．<\/p>\n
これまで，システムに，クリーンインストールによるupgradeを施す場合，ディスクの中身を別のディスクにクローニングして，元ディスクをフォーマットしてクリーンインストールをし，終了後，クローンしたディスクを適当なところにマウントして，データや設定値をコピーしたり参照しながら，システムを再構築していきました．<\/p>\n
データで一番やっかいなのは，DB関係ですね．実用的に使っているのはmariaDB (かつてはMySQL)とopenLDAPです．<\/p>\n
かつての引っ越しではこれらのデータは，そのまんま新しいディスクの所定の場所にがちゃんと^^; コピーするだけで使えました．<\/p>\n
とはいえ，薦められた方法じゃありませんから，いざという時のためにテキストにダンプしてから引っ越すようにしています．特に今回，32bitから64bitへの移行なので，バイナリーのデータが流用できるかという不安もあります．<\/p>\n
テキストダンプもOpenLDAPならまだたいしたことありませんがmariaDBに関しては，WordPressを使い始めた関係で，かなりのサイズになっています．他にサイズは小さいけど，自分にとっては，絶対に消失・破損してはならない無線のデータベースもあります．<\/p>\n
ということで，実機１台でのupgradeははなはだ自信がなくなってしまいました^^; 実機を新旧２台動かした状態で引っ越したほうが無難そうです．<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
