今更ながらの話ですが，\/tmpと\/var\/tmpの使い分けってどうなっているんだ，ってちょっと調べれば，FHS<\/a>で，\/tmpは起動毎にクリアしてよく，\/var\/tmpはクリアしてはいけないと定められていることがわかります．<\/p>\n

多くの\/tmpをtmpfsにすることを推奨しない人たちの言い分は，「メモリーを圧迫する」ということのようですが，筆者のWSは無駄に32GBメモリーを積んでいて，いまだかつてメモリーが圧迫されて困るような事態はありませんので，この際，\/tmpを4GBのtmpfsに割り振ることにしました．<\/p>\n

もともと，\/tmpを含むルートドライブはSSDなので，スピード的なメリットもそれほど大きくはないと思いますが，無駄なメモリーの有効活用，という意味合いです．<\/p>\n

それと，ときどき手で\/tmpをクリアしてましたが，その手間も省けます．<\/p>\n
