わが家の中で，PCの異動があり^^; かっとなって自分用に新しいモニターを買ってしまいました．EIZOのEV2455というもので，職場で使っていて気に入っているためです．今時1920×1200という解像度でこの値段はどうかな，という気もしましたが，これまで個人でもEIZOを使い続けてきて，いろんな面で満足しているので，特に人間にとって一番大事な器官のひとつである目に直接影響するディバイスですので，買ってしまったわけです．<\/p>\n

背面の窓のカーテンを開けているのに，この程度の反射ですむのは非常に使いよいです．前のモニターでは，カーテンどころか雨戸を閉めないと昼間は見えませんでした^^;<\/em><\/p>\n

これまでは，2006年に購入したEIZOのS2110という21.1インチのモニターを使用してきて，解像度は1680×1050でした．このモデルが良いのは，入力は，2つのDVI-I1<\/a><\/sup>DVIで，デジタルとアナログの両方つなげるタイプ．最近はあまり見かけない．<\/span>ポートとなっていて，1つのポートを優先として設定できるところです．優先指定したポートにKVM switchからの信号をつなぎ，そうでない方にMacからの信号をつなぎました．これで，非常に快適に使えていました2<\/a><\/sup>Macからの信号をKVM switch経由にしなくしたのには，ややこしい経緯があったはずでしたが，忘れてしまいました^^;<\/span>．<\/p>\n

その後，新しいモニターを買いたい気運が高まると，この優先入力ポートの機能があるものを探したんですが，EIZOを含めてこの機能のあるモデルは見つかりませんでした．<\/p>\n

このEV2455には，DVI-D3<\/a><\/sup>DVIのデジタル専用．<\/span>, HDMI, ディスプレイポート，DSUB（アナログ）の4ポートがあり，サイクリックに信号のあるポートを探していく，今時普通の仕様です．<\/p>\n

これだと，以前のようにMacから直結の信号とKVM switch経由の信号を別々のポートにつなぐと，いちいちモニターの入力切り替えスイッチを押さなくてはならず，肩から首の痛みを抱えている身には非常にきついです4<\/a><\/sup>毎回しびれをがまんして切り替えないといけません．<\/span>．<\/p>\n

これは，結局，EV2455につなぐ線をKVM switchからの一つにして，MacもKVM switch経由にすることで完全に解消する話です．で，そうしました^^;<\/p>\n

それで，このケーブルが無駄になりました．このケーブル，一度つないだだけですが，ちゃんと機能します．ただ，ミニディスプレイポートのほうのプラスチックの幅が広すぎて，Mac miniの背面に刺すのに苦労します．たぶん，これと同じもの2本はささらないと思います．<\/p>\n

で，また，不良在庫となりました．<\/p>\n

ケーブルの不良在庫はしばしば発生します．以前，TEACのAirPlay対応のアンプを買ったとき，光ケーブル端子があると喜んで光ケーブルを買いましたが，つながる端末がありません^^;<\/p>\n
