Wi-FiルーターTP-Link RE500Xと，一緒に購入したハチ取りのキット．前夜同時に注文したところ，RE500Xはヤマト，ハチ取りはゆうパックで，午前中のほぼ同じ時間に届きました．そんなにがんばらなくても良いのに．<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

AppleのAirMac1<\/a><\/sup> のWi-Fiインターフェースが故障し，Raspberry Pi 4 Model Bを代替のWi-Fiアクセスポイントとして設定<\/a>して使用してきました．<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ただ，これまでの経験からRaspberry PiのWi-Fiインターフェースは，過重な負荷に弱いと言うことを知っています．それでいつまでもつかなと言う風に見ていたのですが，3日前に壊れてしまいました．<\/p>\n\n\n\n

それで困るのは、現在使用している電力の監視アダプター Nature Remo E liteと通信ができなくなることです．また2台ほどATOM Cam 2を接続しています．<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ATOM Cam 2については，わが家のMesh Wi-Fiでも使えるので，いざとなればそちらに切り替えればいいんですが，Nature Remo E liteについてはMesh Wi-Fiでは使えません．何度か設定を試みましたがダメで，ネット検索やAIに相談したところMesh Wi-Fiでは一部のIoT機器が使えないということが数多く報告されているとの事です．そういうこともあってこれまでAirMacを使ってきたのです．<\/p>\n\n\n\n

そこでシンプルなWi-Fiルーターを購入して，アクセスポイント(ブリッジ)として使用することを考えました。昔のようにシンプルなWi-Fiルーターと言うのは今ほとんどないんですね。それでやむなくTPリンクのMesh Wi-Fiにも接続できるけど，独立APとしても使えると言うRE500Xを購入しました．アマゾンの方が少し安いんですが，10%のポイントが付くヨドバシカメラの方が総合的に安いのでヨドバシで買いました．一昨日の夜注文したら昨日の午前中には着いちゃいました．そんなに頑張らなくてもいいのにと思いましたけど，ありがたいです．<\/p>\n\n\n\n

しかし，設定しようとしたらアプリが馬鹿すぎて頭が爆発しそうになりました．それでAIに聞きながらMacのウェブブラウザのUIで設定することにしました．スマホのアプリより全然わかりやすくてよかったです．初期の目的であるAppleのAirMacの代替としてうまく設定ができました．<\/p>\n\n\n
