plicitなんて言葉はないんですが，そう，英語の形容詞，explicitとimplicitの接頭辞を外した本体部分1<\/a><\/sup>語幹．<\/span>です．<\/p>\n\n\n\n

昔から，explicitとimplicitのどっちが明示的なか暗黙的なのかを忘れてしまい，たいてい逆の意味を直感的に想起して，変だなと思って辞書を調べることになります．今どきは，トラックパッドで三本指でクリックすれば辞書がポップアップするので，手間も時間もたいしたことないですが，何十年間覚えられないのが悔しいです．<\/p>\n\n\n\n

どうも，接頭辞exが付くと，exceptやexcludeなど（最近ではexploitなんてのもよく見ます）に引きずられて，マイナスの意味なんじゃないかとの昔からの勘違いが脳の回路に焼き付けられているようです．しかし，exは単に「外に」っていう意味だけで，プラスもマイナスもないのようですね（im\/inも）．<\/p>\n\n\n\n

exが外に，im (in)が内にだけの意味ならそれでいいんですが，そこでplicitの意味が解れば，完全に理解できると思うのですが，今日（2021\/04\/04）現在調べても解りません．plicitの意味が分からないまま，explicit\/implicitを機械的に覚えるままでは，次に遭遇したときまた忘れて，直感的に反対の意味を思い出しそうです．<\/p>\n\n\n\n
