「努力は報われる」という言葉は，よく聞く言葉で，特に教育の場や競技の鍛錬の場では金科玉条になっているんじゃないかと思います．実際，いろいろな分野で「成功」した人は，人並み以上の（場合によっては常人には考えられないような）努力をした人が多いです．<\/p>\n\n\n\n

しかし，成功した人の努力をしのぐ努力をしたものの成功しなかった人は成功した人よりも多くいるということも事実です．<\/p>\n\n\n\n

やっかみだといわれると思いますが，成功者の一番の要素は「運」だと思います．成功した人のインタビューや自伝で，まれに多分謙遜のつもりで「運がよかっただけだ」という（書く）人もいますが，それは謙遜ではなくて真実です．<\/p>\n\n\n\n

それはさておき，この「努力は報われる」という言葉は残酷な言葉です．この言葉の対偶を考えると，「報われないものは努力ではない」となりましょうか．もとが，論理的ではないので，この対偶も正しいのかよく解りませんが，人並み以上の努力をしながら報われない人には残酷な言葉であることは間違いありません．<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
